This event will run from 2pm - 4.30pm and 7 - 9.30pm (approx)
The afternoon sessions will consist of several, family orientated workshops. These workshops can be subject to change on the day, but should include:
rocket making and launching (kit supplied by Going Nova)
make your own sundial
umbrella astronomy
solar system on a toilet roll!
pin prick constellations
comet making demonstrations
The evening events will commence at 7pm with two short talks to introduce you to the night sky, before an observing session with telescopes manned by Sigma members. Should the weather be against us, there will be a wet weather alternative which will consist of several short and entertaining talks by Sigma members.
